Send files from computer to phone

Push PDFs, tickets and photos from your computer to your phone in the browser.

Steps

1. Open the official ShareDrop.io website on your computer and on your phone.
2. Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. If they are on different networks, create a room on one device and open its link on the other.
3. Wait until the other device appears on your screen as an icon.
4. Click or tap that icon and choose the files you want to send.
5. On the receiving device, accept the incoming file prompt.
6. Keep both tabs open until the progress bar finishes, then save the file.

Why this works well

It is quicker than emailing yourself and avoids cloud drives you have to sign into on the phone.

• For a short link or note, send text instead of a file.
• Accept the prompt on the phone, then find the file in your downloads.
• Keep the phone browser open while the file arrives.
