Send large files for free

Large files travel once, straight to the other device.

Steps

1. Open the official ShareDrop.io website on your sending device and on your receiving device.
2. Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. If they are on different networks, create a room on one device and open its link on the other.
3. Wait until the other device appears on your screen as an icon.
4. Click or tap that icon and choose the files you want to send.
5. On the receiving device, accept the incoming file prompt.
6. Keep both tabs open until the progress bar finishes, then save the file.

Why this works well

Your limit is your connection speed, device storage and browser memory, not a service cap or an expiring link.

Tips

• Zip many small files into one archive first.
• Prefer 5 GHz Wi-Fi over 2.4 GHz.
• Keep the screen awake and close heavy tabs.
