Send large videos between devices

Multi-gigabyte videos can go straight across with no cloud upload.

Steps

1. Open the official ShareDrop.io website on your phone or computer and on your other device.
2. Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. If they are on different networks, create a room on one device and open its link on the other.
3. Wait until the other device appears on your screen as an icon.
4. Click or tap that icon and choose the files you want to send.
5. On the receiving device, accept the incoming file prompt.
6. Keep both tabs open until the progress bar finishes, then save the file.

Why this works well

Since nothing is uploaded first, a long video does not have to finish uploading before the download can begin.

Tips

• Keep both screens awake and both tabs open.
• Same Wi-Fi gives the best speed.
• Close heavy apps and tabs to free memory.
