Send files from iPhone to Android
Send original-quality photos and videos without messaging-app compression.
Steps
- Open the official ShareDrop.io website on your iPhone and on your Android phone.
- Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. If they are on different networks, create a room on one device and open its link on the other.
- Wait until the other device appears on your screen as an icon.
- Click or tap that icon and choose the files you want to send.
- On the receiving device, accept the incoming file prompt.
- Keep both tabs open until the progress bar finishes, then save the file.
Why this works well
Messaging apps often shrink photos and videos. Sending through the browser keeps the original files.
Tips
- Open the site in Safari on the iPhone.
- On Android, accept the file and look in Downloads.
- Keep both screens awake for large videos.
Features can change over time. Check the official ShareDrop.io site for the latest details.
